On the basis of a long-term arrangement with the European Investment Bank (EIB), SID Bank finances a range of projects undertaken by SMEs. Projects must fall into one of the following categories:

• Development of knowledge society and inovative entrepreneurship (RRI, Education)
• Development of environmentally friendly society and production (environmental protection, efficient use of energy, renewable energy sources, environmentally friendly production or product)
• Development of a competitive economy and internationalisation (SMEs, internationalisation)
• Regional and social development (telecommunication, transport, sports, cultural, health, tourism and other infrastructure, in particular those contributing to regional development, with the exception of housing construction or renovation)

Funds can be financed up to 85 % of the value of the project, or up to 100 % of the value of projects up to € 12.5 million.
