The Delegation of the European Union to Japan, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation and the EU-Japan Connectivity Partnership Program are jointly organising a hybrid event with the objective of providing information on financing opportunities available to EU and Japanese companies for joint projects in Africa, examining existing success stories and facilitating contact-making between companies and financing organisations. The event will focus on Africa where the public sector ODA projects are dominant but where more proactive participation from the private sector is needed, and the sectoral focus will be on Transport, Energy and Critical Raw Materials.
At the event, public organisations from both the EU and Japanese sides will present and discuss financing for projects in Africa, and some private companies will showcase success stories of their projects in Africa which have a dimension of the EU-Japan business cooperation. It will be followed by a networking reception and individual meetings with financing organisations (for onsite attendees).
