SEB has a strong ambition to contribute to sustainable growth and help its customers and communities prosper. The bank strives to include sustainability as a natural part of its overall business approach and in the advice and services offered to clients. Key benefits
Since 2015, SEB's drive to cut paper consumption by digitalising customer letters has benefited the environment and improved efficiency. By the end of 2016, for example, 85 % less 'physical' letters had been sent out which significantly reduced paper consumption in the bank and made a valuable contribution to the environment. Graphic paper consumption dropped by 76.4 %, from 398 tonnes in 2013 to 94 tonnes in 2016. And total paper consumption was cut by 7.4 % between 2013 (972 tonnes) and 2016 (900 tonnes).
