On the basis of a long-term arrangement with the German Development Bank (KfW), SID Bank funds SME projects that fall into one of the following categories:

• Developing a knowledge society and innovative entrepreneurship (RRI, education)
• Developing an environmentally friendly society and production (environmental protection, efficient use of energy, renewable energy sources, green production or product)
• Developing a competitive economy and internationalisation (SMEs, internationalisation)
• Regional and social development (telecommunication, transport, sports, culture, health, tourism and other infrastructure, in particular those contributing to regional development, except for residential construction or renovation)

Funds can be financed up to 85 % of the value of the project. The maximum value of the loan is € 3 million.
