•    12 research groups of Pablo de Olavide University (Seville, Spain) are selected for a valuation plan focused on improving the transfer of their research results, which includes contacts with innovative companies, events and a digital dissemination plan.

Pablo de Olavide University of Seville (UPO in Spanish), through its Research Results Transfer Office (OTRI in Spanish)), has launched a plan in collaboration with the Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) to improve the transfer of results from its research groups in the areas of Digital Economy (which includes Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Smartcities) and Healthy Living (which brings together Food, Health and Active Aging).

This plan is funded by the Andalusian Regional Government under the Andalusian ERDF Operational Program 2014-2020, within Specific Objective 1.2.2. "Knowledge transfer and cooperation between companies and research centers" and the financial programming of measure A1122062E0 "Technology transfer and cooperation between universities and companies, mainly for the benefit of SMEs".

Pablo de Olavide University has maintained, since its creation, a firm commitment to make University-Business cooperation an instrument of progress. Its Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI) was launched in 2000 and since then it has played a key role in the transfer mission of this university. It provides the necessary support to its researchers with the aim of helping them to translate their research into business or social innovation.

The transfer of results is one of the missions of public universities and consists of ensuring that the advances in knowledge and the achievements derived from scientific research reach the market and benefit the whole of society. The collaboration with companies is one of the most effective ways to achieve it.
