Flying Week in Katowice
The 21st "Flying Week" has started in Katowice - the City of Science.
Today, May 27, 2024, the first day of the event dedicated to enthusiasts and specialists from the aviation industry was inaugurated at the Silesian University of Technology, the central point of which was the "Aerospace Industry Day" conference, gathering outstanding experts and representatives of companies in this field.
For some, aviation is a lifelong passion, for others it is a way of life, and for still others it is an unfulfilled dream. "Flying Week" is a dose of aviation inspiration, but also important discussions and exchanges of opinions, including: on the future of aviation. The speakers emphasized how important cooperation in the aviation industry and its development in Silesia are.
Participants had the opportunity to listen to a presentation on the future and innovations in the aviation sector. One of the panels during the conference was a presentation entitled: "Silesian Aviation Cluster - current status, development prospects", moderated by Joanna Wagner-Dobosz from the Silesian Aviation Cluster.

The meeting was an excellent opportunity to present the achievements, goals and projects implemented by the Silesian Aviation Cluster, including the SkyPort Industry Skills Center.
The Silesian Aviation Cluster is involved as an industry partner in establishing the first Industry Skills Center in Poland "SkyPort", where future employees related to airport operations and aviation safety are trained - which is particularly important today. Additionally, activities related to cybersecurity in aviation will be carried out, which will be a key element of activities in the context of new challenges related to cyberspace.
This event not only highlighted the importance of the region in the aviation industry, but also enabled the establishment of new contacts and exchange of experiences between participants.
Together we set new standards and create the future of aviation.
