PIMAP4Sustainability is happy to present the innovation project GLASS, issued from the collaboration between IENAI Space, Spain and Workshop of Photonics WOP, Lithuania
The GLASS project will incorporate advanced manufacturing techniques, based on photonics, to ATHENA™, an electric propulsion system developed by IENAI SPACE to solve the in-space mobility problem in small-satellites. The main goal is to bring robustness and reliability to the core components of ATHENA™ by introducing advanced materials, such as glass, and manufacturing techniques, allowing the scaling-up of a reliable, robust, and repeatable product and positioning it as a highly competitive solution for the propulsion market.
