On June 11th and 12nd, MetaIndustry4 was part of the European delegation participating in the EU SouthMed Matchmaking Event 2024 at the ACHEMA trade fair in Frankfurt. This event, held annually alternating between Europe and the countries of the southern shore of the Mediterranean, was organized by the European Cluster Platform (ECCP) in cooperation with ANIMA investment network.

The European delegation consisted of 53 organizations from Europe and North Africa, mainly clusters, industrial associations, research centers and startups. Both delegations held more than a hundred C2C (Cluster to Cluster) meetings over two days to explore opportunities for collaboration in fields related to energy, metalworking, automotive and aerospace industries.

The event was opened by Mariella Masselink Head of Unit "Industrial Forum, Alliances, Clusters" of the Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs of the European Commission, who emphasized the careful selection of clusters made by the European side for their participation in the event.

Throughout the event, MetaIndustry4 held about twenty meetings with North African and European organizations in which the cluster took the opportunity to publicize its activities and those of its members, as well as learning about other experiences and approaches in order to identify opportunities for collaboration in the framework of innovation, digitization and knowledge transfer projects between cluster organizations.
By participating in this type of activities, MetaIndustry4 continues to develop its international profile, fully consolidated in European and international networks that facilitate the internationalization of innovation of its members and access to potential markets of interest to their companies.
